    The official website of tourism in India says that there has been an increase in tourism since the Indian government has realized that tourism could be a great factor for refining the economy.
    Tourists from all over the world are visiting India and its cities and cultures to see the geographical richness of the country.
    The major tourist destinations are Kerala, Agra, Goa and New Delhi.

    India is attracting visitors in many ways.
    Individual trips are as common as package tours.
    India offers a variety of festivals, markets, shopping, music, dance festivals, art and religion; moreover the Indian kitchen is very special.
    If you want to relax, India is offering wellness programs, meditation and yoga to renew the feeling of your body.
    India has geographical diversity, which resulted in varieties of nature tourism.
    The tourism campaign “Incredible India” has won the World Travel Award for supporting and promoting the tourism in India and all facets of the country.

    In 2006, it was discovered that the tourism in New Delhi has an increase rate of 15% each year because of high quality and good services in hotels and gastronomy.
    Tourism is one of the most important sectors of economy in India with approximately five million foreign visitors and 562 million domestic visitors each year.
    It is forecasted that the tourism industry generates 275.5 billion US$ till 2018.
    According to World Travel and Tourism Council India will be a tourist hotspot till 2018, especially because of the Commonwealth Games this year.

    Before you go to India, you have to make some arrangements.
    If you are German, Austrian or Swiss, you will need a visa for your journey to India.
    Some regions in India are only allowed to visit with special permissions.
